Real receipts are messier than a scanner expects

Receipts don't arrive flat and pristine. They come crumpled in a wallet, handwritten on a delivery note, faded from a thermal printer, or photographed at an angle on someone's phone. Retyping these by hand, one at a time, is where a lot of a bookkeeper's month goes.

Upload a receipt as a PDF, JPG or HEIC file, or forward it from a client's WhatsApp chat. Krani reads the supplier, date, amount and tax, and matches the entry to the client's existing chart of accounts.

Where a receipt is too unclear to read with confidence, Krani flags it with a confidence score instead of guessing, so it gets a quick human check before it's posted rather than being entered wrong.
